3. International Finance Award to the Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway Project- 05.06.2014

Considered as one of the most prestigious projects of Turkey, 3rd Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway Project received the ‘Financing Award’ granted by international economy magazine EMAE Finance. Realized by IC İÇTAŞ – Astaldi Consortium ICA and considered as future of transportation and trade, 3rd Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway Project is granted an award by one of the leading finance magazines of the world that follows the financial markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa: EMEA Finance. Project received the best Project Financing with the Best Public-Private Partnership Model in the EMEA region. 
7 banks’ participation and 2.3 billion US Dollar credit agreement had been signed in August 2013 and completed recently. 
 
FINANCE PROJECT WILL CONSTITUTE AN EXAMPLE
 
Financing request of IC İÇTAŞ – Astaldi Consortium ICA that will realize Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and Northern Marmara Highway Project is covered with the participation of Garantibank International N.V., T.Garanti Bankası A.S. T.Halk Bankası A.S. T.İş Bankası A.S. T.Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. T.Ziraat Bankası A.S. and Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.S.
 
The project financing that will be deferred to 9 years with an amount of 2.3 billion US dollars, is considered as the highest project financing credit provided for a greenfield project at once in Turkey.

PIONEER IN ALL ASPECTS
 
Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge which will be built as part of Northern Marmara Highway Project will be the 3rd bridge of Bosphorus after Bosphorus Bridge launched in 1973 Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge built in 1988.
To be constructed with high engineering and technology by a team consisting of mostly Turkish members, 3rd Bosphorus Bridge will be the first bridge on the world to host a 8-line highway and 2 line railway at the same time. It will be entitled as the longest and largest suspension bridge of the world with its 59 meter width and 1408 meters space. It will also be the bridge with the highest tower with its over 320 meters height.

Conceptual design of Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge has been made by ‘’French Bridge Expert’’ Michel Virlogeux and Swiss T-engineering company.
